Enter a birth chart once and get a full professional Ashtakavarga workup across six panels — Vastu & Directions, Ashtakavarga Strength, Life Domains, Ashtakavarga Dasha, Muhurta & Speech, and Remedies — all sourced and citation-flagged. Works on any phone, tablet, laptop or desktop.
Sign-level Ashtakavarga positions are calculated from an approximate astronomical model (accurate to within a few arc-minutes — reliable for sign placement in the vast majority of charts). For degree-exact professional work, cross-check against a certified ephemeris.
Two classical conventions exist for mapping Ashtakavarga to compass direction, and they do not always agree. Both are shown — never force-merged — so you can see exactly where they align and where they diverge.
Counts houses from your Ascendant (individualised to your exact chart). East = 11th+12th+1st house; North = 2nd+3rd+4th; West = 5th+6th+7th; South = 8th+9th+10th.
Uses fixed zodiac groups, same for every chart. East = Aries/Leo/Sagittarius; South = Taurus/Virgo/Capricorn; West = Gemini/Libra/Aquarius; North = Cancer/Scorpio/Pisces.
Each feature — including the main door — is matched to the direction where its governing point carries the most bindus in its own Bhinnashtakavarga: the main door uses the Lagna's own 8th chart, and every other feature uses that planet's individual chart. The same method is applied consistently across all eight points.
From Ashtakavarga Mahanibandh Ch.5 (Venus/spouse section): the direction of the 7th-house-lord (from Venus) suggests where a spouse is likely met or comes from; the sign occupying the 7th-from-Lagna gives a classical temperament read (Prashna Marga Ch.20). Read as texture, not a fixed prediction.
337 bindus distributed across the 12 signs. This report uses the finer four-tier classical banding from Ashtakavarga Mahanibandh Ch.6 (v.8): 42 = Uttama (best) · 28 = Madhyama (medium, the long-used average baseline) · 14 = Kanishtha (minor) · below 14 = the house's own matters are effectively unsupported. This is the base data every direction and room recommendation is derived from.
This is a fixed reference table, shown for education — it only becomes relevant to your own chart if one of your houses (see badges below) is genuinely at or near zero. Six of the twelve results are inverted: a "weak" 6th/8th/12th house is classically a good sign, since those houses govern enemies, obstacles and loss respectively.
BPHS Ch.66 (v.13–15) treats the Lagna itself "as a Planet" for Ashtakavarga purposes — it too receives bindus from all eight sources (the seven planets plus itself). This is a separate, auxiliary 49-bindu chart, kept outside the classical 337-point Sarvashtakavarga above. It is used to determine the strongest direction for the main entrance and as the base chart for the Lagna Ashtakavarga Dasha.
Raw bindus overcount by repeating strength across each trine and across a planet's two owned signs. Two classical cleansing steps remove that redundancy: Trikona Shodhana (the lowest bindu value in each fire/earth/air/water trine is subtracted from all three signs in that trine) followed by Ekadhipatya Shodhana — applied only to Mars, Venus, Mercury, Jupiter and Saturn, each of which rules two signs (Sun and Moon rule one sign each and are skipped entirely). For each such pair: if either sign is already at 0, nothing changes; if a classical planet occupies both signs, nothing changes; if a planet occupies only one sign, that occupied sign is left untouched and the empty sign is reduced by the occupied sign's value (floored at 0); if neither sign is occupied, equal values both drop to 0, and unequal values are both pulled down to the smaller of the two. This purified layer is what the Ashtakavarga Dasha and children-count estimate (Life Domains tab) are built from.
Ashtakavarga Mahanibandh Ch.5 reads each relative/life-domain from a specific planet's own Bhinnashtakavarga, re-centred on that planet's own natal sign as if it were a fresh Lagna (a method Ch.6 later names and generalises). Strength shown is the bindu count (0–8 scale) in the domain's own house from that re-centred point — a texture layer, never a standalone verdict, always to be read alongside the rest of the chart.
A dasha (period) system from Ashtakavarga Mahanibandh Ch.7, distinct from Vimshottari. Built from one reference chart at a time: whichever point "owns" the chart runs first, then the rest follow in zodiacal order (ties among co-tenants of one sign broken by classical natural strength: Sun > Moon > Venus > Jupiter > Mercury > Mars > Saturn — an approximation where the source does not fully specify). Each period's length = (bindus at that point's sign, within the chosen chart) × 15 ⁄ 7 years. Use this as an independent cross-check alongside your primary dasha system — the source text itself notes Ashtakavarga-based timing is traditionally the least authoritative of the classical longevity/timing methods.
Ashtakavarga Mahanibandh Ch.2 (v.141–142): divide any day into three parts using Sun's own Bhinnashtakavarga, starting from Sun's natal sign — first 4 signs, middle 4, last 4. Sum the bindus in each group; the highest-scoring third of the day is classically most supportive for beginning important undertakings for this person, on any day, life-long. This is a natal trait, not tied to today's date.
Ashtakavarga Mahanibandh Ch.5 (v.154, cited from Jatakadesh-marg): read the bindu count of the 2nd house from Mercury's own sign, within Mercury's own Bhinnashtakavarga — a compact classical read on communication style.
Ashtakavarga Mahanibandh Ch.5 (Jupiter/children section, Method 4): after Trikona + Ekadhipatya Shodhana on Jupiter's own chart, sum the purified bindus remaining in signs that are not occupied by a natural malefic (Sun, Mars, Saturn, Rahu or Ketu). The source explicitly frames this as one of four non-forced classical methods, not a definitive count — and reminds readers to interpret "count" in modern context (family size expectations, not a hard ceiling).
A weak bindu count is a call to conscious effort, not a fixed fate. General Vastu correction measures for your lowest-scoring zones:
